The Fairy and Wind Caves are located about 50km away from Kuching City located near Bau Town, where the discovery of gold and Antimony Town in the olden day.  As Bau  being an interior town in Kuching Division, its geographical features are composed of rugged terrain and dotted with sporadic limestone hills where is numerous of caves can be found namely the Wind Cave, Fairy Cave, Mini Buddha Cave.

On the way to the cave,  you’ll pass by fascinating villages, rubber estates, pepper gardens and lush rainforest.  Upon arrival at the Fairy Cave, you will have to climb up the concrete staircase to the Cave Entrance.  Once inside the cave, you will marvel at the wonderful limestone formations in these mystical caverns that are thousand of years old. The stalactite and stalagmites which is more than thousand and thousand of years that resemble figures and animals, and there is even a stalactite that resembles the Chinese Goddess of Mercy which is becoming a point of religious interest for some of the locals.  The opening at the other end of the cave ceiling where the sun light penetrated in to give lights to cave plants a bright green arus. It a very breath taking trip for this Fairy Cave.

Then proceed to the Mini Buddha Cave where the local goes there for worship, before going to the Wind Cave.  Wind Cave is named after the constant cool breeze that blows throughout the cavers.  When inside the cave, take the chance to observe the many fruits bats and swiflets that dwell within this cave and relax besides the subterranean that runs through the cave.  After that proceed to the nearby stream to relax or dip yourself in the cool crystal clear water for relaxation.  (depend on the weather condition)  before returning to Kuching City.
