Sarawak Cultural Village (Kampung Budaya Sarawak) was set up to preserve and a showcase of Sarawak’s cultural heritage.  It is located at Pantai Damai, just 32 km from Kuching City.  Popularly known as the “Living Museum”, perfect place to get to learn more about our local culture, customs and lifestyle.The village is a showcase of a kaleidoscope of Sarawak’s cultures and traditions. In here you can experience the local tribes in their authentic homes such as Chinese Farm house, Malay’s Stilted House, Melanau Tall House, Penan Hut as well as Longhouses of the Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu. Displayed in each house are the many artifacts made by the individual dwellers and also  you can see the tribes does their daily demonstrating activities from the Sarawak’s diverse tribes like processing of sago, cookies and making of handicrafts wearing their traditional costumes.

After touring the village, you will be entertained by the tribes with their traditional customs performing their individual traditional dance at the theater.  (about 45 minutes performing)

After visiting the cultural village then will proceed to Cat Museum which the a very unique museum which houses all type of cats displayed and part of Sarawak history which is located at our Kuching North City Hall.
