Satang Island / Wet Land / Snorkeling

Talang-Satang National Park is a beautiful shallow reef areas surround all the four islands. They provide shelter and resting grounds for sea turtles, and are also important fish breeding areas.

Meet our friendly guide at the hotel lobby, then transfer to the jetty (about 45 minutes drive).  Upon arrival at the jetty, proceed by speed boat out to the river mouth to spot for the elusive and rare school of Irrawaddy dolphins. Where the dolphins searching for food together the fishermen fishing for fishes.  After that proceed to the mangrove to look for wildlife such as proboscis, silver monkey, macaque, crocodile and also the marine life. Sighting for the wildlife are not guaranteed.

Then head out to South China Sea to Talang Satang National Park, the sea turtle nesting ground.  Spend sometimes in the island’s white sandy beach  and visit the turtle hatchery and get some ideas of conservation work being done to help these highly endangered sea creatures. If the sea condition is good swimming and snorkeling in the shallow water off the island, enjoy the corals and the marine life. Packed lunch is provided.  After lunch proceed back to Kuching.  En route will stop beside Tukong Ara Island to spot birds, a protected islet that is a breeding colony for various species of terns.
